REASON FOR SELLING : BOUGHT A BIGGER BOAT W/ INBOARD ENGINE... DONT NEED OUTBOARD FOR THIS BABY....
I bought a 1999 90 hp Rebuilt Johnson from you; 1-1/2 years later this motor runs like a brand new one. Power-more than a new motor, starts every time and I fish in very cold weather and heat, never shuts off once its running.
Right after I bought this motor it developed a miss, one call to these folks and I returned to be treated very nicely and the motor was fixed by replacing a part, NO CHARGE!
I will never buy a new motor as long as these nice dependable folks are rebuilding outboards, I would recommend OneOutboard to anyone who needs a rebuilt, you will be treated well and end up with a better than new motor, My life depends on this motor to get be back to the dock and it has.
Thanks for a product keeps working and if I ever need motor help, you's have my bussiness. (James R - PA)
Just a quick note to say thanks again for the excellent service. I installed the YAMAHA 90 on my boat and it has been used four times since. It runs better than ever. It is quiter and it has more power. A special thanks to Brian and Stan for the work they did. I won't hesitate to recommend you guys.

I just wanted to thank Mike Sr. and everyone for the help you guys gave me with the trim tilt on my 2000 Johnson 50 hp out board. You guys completely rock. I got everything back on the boat yesterday, bled and filled the trim tilt unit and took the boat out. Everything is working perfectly. Thank you all again. I am recommending you to everyone I talk to who is looking to buy an outboard.

Awesome rebuild! (Yamaha 225 VMAX) Better than when Brad bought the boat. We went out Tuesday and broke the motor in. It runs smooth as silk, better than when it was new. (Bill - Greenville, SC)
I bought a 1998 Mercury 150 EFI from your company in June of 2007, This engine has run like a top from day 1. I have sent three of my Blass Club friends up to have rebuilds done and all three used your "while you wait" service (in by 9 out by 4) and so far Blackbird Industries is batting 1000.
I just wanted to say thanks again. (RF - New Rochelle, NY)
Last year you guys rebuilt the powerhead on my 1993 Johnson 115. I take the boat out weekly and have not had a problem at all with the rebuild even after putting over 100 hours on the motor.
Mike, Jr and the ladies in the office were very helpful during the whole process. Thanks! (SG - Dry Prong, LA )
I may have had some anxiety in purchasing my Remanufactured OptiMax 225 sight unseen 6 months ago, but it has met all the claims 1 Outboard makes and it's exceeded my expectations after 50+ hours of off shore operation. It runs like new (strong and dependable)! Your recomendation of using Terry in Deland as an installer worked out great as well. He knowledge is vast and work is quality. I appreciate Mike keeping his word in all transactions like sticking to the trade-in-price on my old motor. I will surely recommend your product to all friends and associates.
Thank You. (JT - Clearwater, FL)
Just wanted to drop you a line and say Thank You! The engine runs perfectly and has from the start. I did have the carb issue to take care of first. I found that the bowl vent tube was blocked and that cause it to flood. I've seen this before on Force outboards. All it took was a torch tip cleaner in the tube to clean it out and a quick float level check and it's been perfect.
The engine has tons of power, starts perfectly, and purrs like a kitten. I've put 40 or so hours on it with no issues. Thanks again for doing a great job...I will recommend you to others with confidence. (DS - Portland , OR)
I bought my '93 Evinrude 40hp from Blackbird. They also were able to supply a set of used controls and VRO tank and used prop to complete my needs. The motor ran like new and performed well. The only part that was obviously from another year was the flywheel because it has the year of manufacture cast into it. But visually, it is the correct part.
They shipped the complete outboard, controls, tank and used prop in a metal outboard shipping crate. I picked it up at the local FED EX depot.
The motor was in outstanding condition when I received it. The lower unit was rebuilt, new seals, etc, pressure tested and painted. The lower unit looked like new, not bent, no knicks, no signs of corrosion.
About two years out of warrenty, I overheated the motor by idling through some mucky water, clogged the intake and the hot alarm went off.
After it cooled it was fine. I was told to change the head gasket, but I didn't.
The next season, the head gasket started to leak water and it scored a cylinder badly. I called Blackbird and talked to Mike (senior) who said to ship the entire power head back to them for evaluation. They never said what the cause of the water in the cylinder was, but my guess is the leaking head gasket because one head bolt was rusted where it passed through, and head gasket failure is common after overheating.
The motor was out of warranty, but Mike rebuilt the powerhead tested and shipped it back only for the cost of parts and shipping. Bottom line is they repaired an outboard they sold me outside of warranty for just parts and shipping. Can't complain. Overall, I am a satisfied customer and will buy from them again the next time I need an outboard motor.
BTW, after doing the breakin proceedure and running the motor hard all last season, it still starts and runs like it should. (MH - Louisville, KY)
